Working House/Trailer Fire

Wednesday, January 4, 2012 Just after 1800 hours the tones were struck for a working house/trailer fire in the Indian Acres Campground.  With Rescue 1 being out of service, the inital alert brought Sta. 1 and KC Sta. 3 for an Engine, Rescue and Tanker.

Deputy 1 was the first to arrive with a fully involved trailer and exposure to several surrounding sheds.  Engine 114 was the first to arrive and dropped 500' of 5" into the scene.  The crew pulled two 1 3/4" lines and began extinguishment and protecting the exposures.  Tanker 1 arrived next and began supplying the engine.  KC Engine 3, Rescue 3 and Tanker 3 all arrived and began an attack on the Charlie side.  Two additional tankers, Tanker 12 and KC Tanker 2,  were called into the scene to assist with water supply.  Engine 116 was sent directly to the fill site to set up a draft.  Crews brought the fire under control but needed to keep cool a 250 gal propane tank that was venting.

CC Paramedic 3, Ambulance 191 and KC Ambulane 3 took care of the rehab assignment and Engine 2 and KC Engine 2 handled the transfer into Station 1.  Video from Engine 114 will be uploaded to the site soon.
